SO. ILL. - Due to large numbers on some recent articles here, our site has been crashing on and off since yesterday.
We have tech minds working on it, but the servers keep experiencing issues.

Thanks for staying with us; there is one seriously huge story we've been working on for weeks, involving an issue we've been covering for three years pertaining to higher-ups in the area of Saline, White, Gallatin, Franklin and Hamilton counties. An associate of this bunch was responsible for taking down our website three times between August 5, 2015 and February 12, 2016...and deleting articles about their doings. Another associate of this bunch is about to find out the hard way what HE'S responsible for, after a couple of massive screwups on an official level...and a very serious complaint to a major Illinois agency who is actually doing something about it.
I know that's vague. It needs to be, for now; rest assured, however, the people I'm referring to know EXACTLY who they are and what they've done.
If we lose the site, we'll be back with another...and if we can't do that, who knows. Maybe it's time to start up the print version again.
