UPDATE 6:00 PM

Officials at the scene have advised that Olney resident John Worlow went to check on the resident at the house on South Adams after not having seen him for about three days, and when Worlow entered the house, he found the resident deceased in a bathtub.

The description we have been given is that of a serious head wound that the resident suffered, which lead to significant blood loss, resulting in the scene Worlow beheld.

The body of the resident, whose name we are withholding for now, has been removed by coroner’s officials and Illinois State Police have established a crime scene at the location for now, although the wound the resident suffered could very easily have been sustained in an accident.

We’ll keep you posted as Jade’s sources continue to provide information; below is the original post.

OLNEY—Details are scarce, but our sources within the city of Olney are reporting major activity by local and state police at a location at Adams at Chestnut streets, and we have had it confirmed that the coroner has been called.

We’ve been told that the residence of John Worlow on the 100 block of South Adams has been blocked off, this after Worlow reported to the Olney police department, stating he’s seen what appeared to be “blood in the bathtub,” but thought it might’ve “come from a paintball gun” late this morning.

Illinois State Police have taped off the scene and are assisting locals there now.

Jade is in contact with the coroner’s office and is gathering more information right now. That’s all we have, so when she reports in, we’ll bring you what she learns.
