WEST LIBERTY, (Jasper County) Ill.---Authorities are confirming that mutual aid has been called to a small village in Jasper County, where an active shooter has been reported.
We've not been able to confirm the location of the shooter within the village, which has roughly the equivalent of a downtown main street and some artery streets branching off from that, and not much else.
There are no reports of injuries at this time, but it may be too early to tell.
It's been confirmed that officers from Crawford and Richland counties have arrived in a staging area in nearby Ste. Marie behind the Catholic church, joining Jasper County deputies there. They arrived shortly after 10:30 p.m.
We'll update as we can.
