RICHLAND CO.— This issue’s general crim report includes an underage drinker who has grown up to face theft charges, a woman who allegedly struggled with a police officer and a convict that may be looking at a trip back to prison.
The Olney man with a string of underage drinking arrests in his past is all grown up and is now facing a felony.
According to the charge filed in the circuit clerk’s office, on January 24 at 1107 East Cherry St., Olney, Bradley W. Robertson, 22, committed the offense of Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle when he knowingly had in his possession a 2000 Chevrolet at a time when he knew the vehicle to have been stolen.
Robertson was issued a summons to appear in court at a later date.

An Olney woman who was arrested twice in June has been arrested yet again, this time for struggling with a police officer.
Court records show that Michelle M. Pride, 32, of 526 West Cherry St., Olney, was arrested June 3 on a single count of Battery Causing Bodily Harm.
Pride was arrested 20 days later, June 23, and charged with Disorderly Conduct.
Now police say on July 11, at Cherry and Mill streets, she committed the offense of felony Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer when she knowingly caused harm to uniformed officer Clay Pickens when she scratched his left arm/wrist in order to prevent him from the performance of his official duties.
What exactly lead to the altercation is unknown.
No bond information was available in the case.
Entered another man’s homes
An Olney convicted felon, who has taken at least one trip to prison as an adult and has been involved in untold juvenile incidents, may very well be looking at another trip to incarceration.
The formal charge in the case alleges that on June 30, Chance M. Salyers, 23, of 210 South Jasper St., Olney, knowingly and without authority entered the home of Melvin Bursott, located at 317 ½ Richland St., Olney, with intent to commit theft.
Salyers was taken into custody and housed in the county jail on a charge of Residential Burglary.
His criminal history includes a conviction July 31, 2012 of Theft $500-$10,000 and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle for which he was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections for four years and ordered to pay $2,342.01 in fines and fees.
He was convicted October 23, 2015 of one count of Criminal Damage to Property and sentenced to conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to fork over another $557 in fines and fees.
Cash bond in the case was set in his case at $4,000.
