RICHLAND CO., Ill. - Details are few right now, but we're learning that an emergency landing of what appears to be a single-engine plane took place around noon today near one of the lakes outside of Olney.
Our sources indicate that pilot - who was NOT Tyler Heldenbrand; Tyler was nearby and helped get the plane off the road - was able to successfully get the small plane down safely, and authorities were on the scene shortly after 12 p.m. to see what needed to be done.
Our sources tell us that the pilot is from Wabash County. We'll get the whole thing likely tomorrow.
